I am sure someone here will know something better, but with My Little Ponies and other dolls, if you add one drop of dish washing liquid to about 4 oz of warm water, then slightly mist the hair with the mixture before rolling it, the curl will hold much nicer.
Good Luck! She is a beauty I hope you can get her all curled up again.

Once when I was combing my Felicity's hair I must have accidentally touched on a pin curl because when I was done combing I noticed she had this piece of frizzle. The frizzle was one of her pin curls. I was horrified that I'd ruined her. But I got a little water between my thumb and forefinger and just kind of massaged it back into a smooth clean curl. Don't take the strand and pull on it or anything. One thing I'm not sure of is whether our two Felicities have different hair, since yours is pre-Mattel and mine was just purchased this past October. Just be gentle and use water. I really thought mine was a goner but it looks like new. Good luck, Nikki!

Nikki, try using pins! No, really, I carefully comb out the short hairs that make up her curls, dampen them with water, curl them around something small like a pencil or straw, then put a bobby pin to hold it flat (remove the straw or pencil). Then I let them dry. This seems to restore her pin curls pretty well and is, I assume, why they're named pin curls in the first place!

Maria, I told her the same thing this morning. She does not have any bobby pins, so suggested to get some from the $1 store.
Love it when AG minds think alike!

Maria and Ria the straws and the bobby pins worked perfectly. I lest them in there over night and her pin curels are now back. And they look wonderful. Thank you so much you guys. I owe you both. Lissie looks wonderful like the way she might have 1st come in 1992.
